After careful consideration by the Steering Committee and from input by authors, ASHRAE and AIVC have decided to postpone the conference, which was initially scheduled for September 14-16, 2020 in Athens, Greece.
The IAQ 2020 conference is being postponed by one year to September 13-15, 2021 as a face-to-face conference in Athens, Greece.

The 39th AIVC conference: "Smart ventilation for buildings" was held on 18 and 19 September 2018 in Juan-les-Pins, France. It was also the 7th TightVent conference and the 5th venticool conference.
Energy and climate goals have been shaping many countries’ policy and legislative agendas in the EU and beyond in the past decade. The building sector plays a crucial role in achieving these goals, considering the energy use attributed to buildings and its huge potential for improved energy performance.

Following the 1st EPBD article 19a stakeholder meeting which took place in June 2019 and where stakeholders discussed the state of the art regarding existing schemes in relation to the inspection of stand-alone ventilation systems and optional building renovation passports, the 2nd stakeholder meeting aims to present the impact analyses and discuss the relevance, feasibility and possible scope of measures at EU-level.

The 16th Conference of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality & Climate (Indoor Air 2020) will be held at COEX in Seoul, Korea from November 1 to 5, 2020. The symposium "Activities of IEA TCP on Energy in Buildings and Communities (EBC TCP)" took place on the 11th of June 2019 in Brussels, Belgium from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. . During this event activities of various Technical Collaboration Programmes (TCP) of the International Energy Agency were presented with a focus on the energy reduction in the built environment and the reduction of CO2- emissions.

Most Asian and “Belt & Road” developing countries are in the largest scale urbanization process in human history. Developing countries, especially China, are trying their best to approach high quality construction and sustainable development. Recently, Chinese government has set an ambitious goal: in the following 10 years, 30% of the newly built buildings shall be constructed in prefabricated way, and in 2020, green buildings will account for 50% of the newly built buildings.

The 40th AIVC conference was held on 15 and 16 October 2019 in Ghent, Belgium. It was also the 8th TightVent conference and the 6th venticool conference.
