Feedback from the AIVC 2017 conference: Summary of the ventilative cooling track

The joint 38th AIVC, 6th TightVent and 4th venticool Conference on ‘Ventilating Healthy Low-energy Buildings' was held in Nottingham, UK, 13-14 September 2017. The programme consisted of plenary sessions and 3 parallel tracks, one devoted to Ventilative Cooling in four sessions (20 papers) and 17 papers in poster sessions. Two sessions were topical, proposed by IEA EBC Annex 62, plus one discussion session.  One topical session focused on case-studies [6, 18, 23-25] including houses, offices, a large space and shopping malls.

IEA EBC News, November 2017 now available

The International Energy Agency's Energy in Buildings and Communities (IEA-EBC) Programme newsletter of November 2017 (Issue 66) has been released. The current edition includes an introduction of Canadian policies and movements, also with updates on EBC’s major R&D projects that cover ways to realise both better indoor air quality and higher energy efficiency, reconsideration of thermal comfort by using energy more wisely, and analysis of real energy use and relevant factors by using big data.
