This seminar will present current work by the IEA EBC Annex 62 which is an international collaborative project on ventilative cooling; it has a four year working phase (2014-2017) and contribution by representatives from 20 universities, research institutes and private industries from 14 different countries from Europe, Japan, China and the US.

The 35^th AIVC conference : 'Ventilation and airtightness in transforming the building stock to high performance' was held on 24 & 25 September 2014 in Poznan together with the 4^th TightVent and the 2^nd venticool conferences. There were 143 participants.

The 1st international QUALICHeCK Conference “Towards improved compliance and quality of the works for better performing buildings” will take place in the KBC auditorium: Havenlaan 2, 1080 Brussels, Belgium

Over the past few years, there has been an increasing number of airtightness tests performed in Europe either for specific high-performance buildings programmes or for a wide range of buildings in regulatory contexts. This has led to the development of competent tester schemes to contain potential legal and competition issues.

Although ventilation and airtightness are covered in most countries by various regulations focussed on energy performance and/or indoor air quality, the effectiveness of these regulations is often called into question.

This three day conference will include three separate, but complimentary tracks:

The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive recast gives ambitious goals for the building sector to reduce energy use as well as greenhouse gas emissions.

The REHVA Annual Meeting and Conference 2015 will be held in Riga, Latvia 6-9 May 2015. The event will bring together leading experts from the international heating, ventilation and air condition community.
