On March 30^th, Annex 80 scientists, practitioners, and planners as well as representatives from the building cooling associated industry gathered for the 5^th meeting of the Advisory Board of Practitioners. This board, an initiative of Annex 80, AIVC and venticool, was founded to put results of scientific research into action by establishing strong ties to practitioners and to include their practical experience in future research projects.

Well-insulated and air-tight buildings are known to be vulnerable to overheating. An increase in the severity and duration of heatwaves is expected, resulting in more severe overheating risks, affecting in turn the health and mortality of building users. To achieve more future-proof buildings, it is crucial to design buildings that are “resilient” to overheating in future climate conditions.

We would like to inform you that the abstract submission deadline for the 42^nd AIVC - 10^th TightVent - 8^th venticool conference “Ventilation Challenges in a changing world" to be held on 5-6 October, 2022 in Rotterdam, has been extended.

Abstract submission is still open and due April 26, 2022. 

On March 24^th, June 9^th, October 27^th & December 15^th,2020,  Annex 80 scientists, practitioners, and planners as well as representatives from the building cooling associated industry gathered for 4 remote meetings of the Advisory Board of Practitioners. This board, an initiative of Annex 80, AIVC and venticool, was founded to put results of scientific research into action by establishing strong ties to practitioners and to include their practical experience in future research projects.

The 42^nd AIVC Conference “Ventilation Challenges in a changing world" will be held on October 5-6, 2022, at the Hilton Hotel, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It will be a joint event combined with the 10^th TightVent and the 8^th venticool conferences.

The conference programme will include well‐prepared and structured sessions focused on the conference topics, invited speakers and long and short oral presentations arising from the call.

We are pleased to announce the release of AIVC's Literature List no 36: Overview of Webinars in cooperation with TightVent Europe and venticool platforms. This report is an overview of all AIVC webinars held since 2012, including information on each event with links to the online recordings and the pdfs to the presentations..

The preparations for the 42^nd AIVC-10^th TightVent- 8^th venticool conference have started. It is the intention to have this conference in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on 5-6 October 2022.
