We are happy to announce the release of AIVC's Technical note #70: 40 years to build tight and ventilate right: From infiltration to smart ventilation!

As the AIVC was created in 1979, the 40^th anniversary of the AIVC was celebrated in October 2019 at the 40^th AIVC conference in Ghent. In the context of this celebration, it was decided to publish 2 overview publications:

In March 2022, ASHRAE released a position document discussing the role of indoor CO₂ in the context of building ventilation and IAQ. The positions address the use of CO₂ as a metric of IAQ and ventilation, the impacts of CO₂ on building occupants, the measurement of CO₂ concentrations, the use of CO₂ to evaluate and control outdoor air ventilation, and the relationship of indoor CO₂ to airborne infectious disease transmission.

We would like to inform you that the abstract submission deadline for the 42^nd AIVC - 10^th TightVent - 8^th venticool conference “Ventilation Challenges in a changing world" to be held on 5-6 October, 2022 in Rotterdam, has been extended.

Abstract submission is still open and due April 26, 2022. 

The 42^nd AIVC Conference “Ventilation Challenges in a changing world" will be held on October 5-6, 2022, at the Hilton Hotel, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It will be a joint event combined with the 10^th TightVent and the 8^th venticool conferences.

The conference programme will include well‐prepared and structured sessions focused on the conference topics, invited speakers and long and short oral presentations arising from the call.

We are pleased to announce that the AIVC 2022 Conference “Ventilation Challenges in a changing world" is now accepting abstracts & proposals for topical sessions. The Conference will be held on October 5-6, 2022, at the Hilton Hotel, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It will be a joint event combined with the 10^th TightVent and the 8^th venticool conferences.

AIVC's Ventilation Information Paper no 42: The Concept for Substituting Ventilation by Gas Phase Air Cleaning has just been released! The paper discusses and evaluates the pros and cons by partly substituting required ventilation by gas phase air cleaning.
