The February 2019 edition of the REHVA Journal has been released, including a selection of articles presented at the 39th AIVC - 7th TightVent & 5th venticool Conference, 2018 “Smart Ventilation for buildings” held in Juan-Les-Pins, France on September 18-19, 2018.

The AIVC is very pleased to welcome Greece as new participating country! Greece will be represented in the AIVC board by Dimitris A. Charalambopoulos & Triantafyllos (Alkis) Triantafyllopoulos from the ASHRAE Hellenic Chapter (http://www.ashrae.gr/).
The AIVC at present counts 16 countries composing the AIVC Board demonstrating the growing interest on air infiltration and ventilation issues in new and renovated buildings.
AIVC is pleased to announce the eleventh anniversary of the International BUILDAIR Symposium “Airtight Buildings, Thermography and Ventilation Systems in Practice” to be held on May 24-25, 2019 in Hannover Germany.
The symposium "Activities of IEA TCP on Energy in Buildings and Communities (EBC TCP)" will take place on the 11th of June 2019 in Brussels, Belgium from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During this event activities of various Technical Collaboration Programmes (TCP) of the International Energy Agency will be presented and focus will be on the energy reduction in the built environment and the reduction of CO2- emissions.
The 40th AIVC Conference “From Energy crisis to sustainable indoor climate – 40 years of AIVC" will be held during the 15th & 16th of October, 2019 at ‘Het Pand’, the congress centre of Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium. It will be a joint event combined with the 8th TightVent and the 6th venticool conferences.

More than 200 participants attended the joint 39th AIVC – 7th TightVent – 5th venticool conference held in Juan-Les-Pins, France on September 18-19, 2018. The programme consisted of 3 parallel sessions with contributions from 27 countries and international organisations. Around 150 presentations were given covering the main conference topics namely: Smart Ventilation, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Health relationships; Ventilation and (building) Airtightness; Ventilative cooling – Resilient cooling.
